Primal Oven Fried Chicken

Admittedly, this recipe is just a bonus for those who aren't interested in my Primal Chicken and Waffles. I needed chicken for that recipe, but this chicken would be great to have any time, and it's an easy way to convince ANYONE to eat Primal/Paleo!

Primal Oven Fried Chicken



  • 4 Boneless Skinless Chicken Breasts


  • 5 Tbsp Coconut Milk
  • 5 Tbsp Ghee
  • 1 Tbsp Tapioca Flour


  • 1/2 Cup Tapioca Flour
  • 1/2 Cup Almond Meal (you can use almond flour if you prefer the blanched flour)
  • 1 Tsp Sea Salt
  • 1 Tsp Black Pepper
  • 1/2 Tsp Chili Powder
  • 1/2 Tsp Garlic Powder



1. Preheat oven to 400 degrees

2. Cut chicken breasts into strips

3. In a mixing bowl, combine BATTER ingredients and microwave for 1-2 minutes

4. Remove BATTER from microwave and mix until smooth

5. In a separate mixing bowl, combine BREADING ingredients and mix

6. Place a baking rack on a baking sheet or line it with foil

7. Dip chicken tenders in BATTER, then into BREADING, and place on baking sheet

8. Bake chicken for 30-45 minutes or until chicken is golden brown and internal is 165 degrees
