Easy At Home Queso

Who doesn't love queso? Unfortunately, almost everything you can get from a store or restaurant has fillers, thickeners, and other ingredients that make it a big NO for people living a keto or low-carb lifestyle. This queso is super easy to make (hence the name), it's free from "bad" ingredients, and it's a huge hit with all my friends and family!


  • 8 oz mexican cheese blend
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 2 Tbsp butter (unsalted)
  • 1 tsp minced garlic
  • 1/4 cup diced jalapenos
  • 1/4 cup water


1. Heat a pot over MEDIUM heat on the stove
2. Add butter and garlic
3. Saute the garlic for 15-20 seconds
4. Add heavy cream and water and mix
5. Heat to ALMOST a boil, then reduce heat to LOW and simmer
6. Continually stir and add cheese (about 2 oz at a time) until creamy and smooth
7. Add diced jalapenos and stir
8. Allow to simmer for 5-10 minutes, stirring occasionally
9. Serve immediately!
